Tango, salsa, and samba your way through South America on this 11-night voyage aboard the Azamara Pursuit℠. From Argentina to Brazil, this itinerary packs a punch.

Your South American adventure begins with 3 nights in sunny Buenos Aires before setting sail to fashionable Punta del Este—home to white-sand beaches and chic harbourside cafés. A low-key, relaxed pace is the vibe you’ll find in Montevideo on your overnight stay. Stroll the European-inspired streets, take in the Art Nouveau pedestrian mall, and Art Deco Centenary Stadium. Take the next two days at sea to relax and refresh for your next stop — Brazil’s largest metropolis, São Paulo. From incredible museums to delicious food, cultural landmarks, and lush green space, you’ll be grateful for the late stay in port.

Nature lovers will find their niche in Ilhabela — almost all of the island has been designated as a UNESCO-protected biosphere—while architecture buffs will marvel at the exquisitely preserved Portuguese colonial architecture in Paraty.

Paradise found meets high-end resort in picturesque Buzios. An overnight in Rio de Janeiro is your final stop, and what a stop it is — dramatic landscapes, magnificent beaches, and the 125-foot-tall Christ the Redeemer statue overlooking it all — we won’t blame you if you never want to go home.

Check out of your 4* hotel and make your way to the port where you will embark Azamara Pursuit for your 11 night luxury cruise.

Day 6: Punta Del Este, Uruguay
Punta del Este's white sand beaches are popular with families and the glitterati alike. Fashionable cafes and shops line the streets, and an evening harbour-front stroll will no doubt include a serenade by street musicians and entertainers. The town projects an artsy vibe, with the Brava Beach open air sculpture park, displaying large works in steel, concrete, wood, iron, and marble.

Punta Del Este

Day 7-8: Montevideo, Uruguay
Montevideo exudes European charm and elegance, with broad boulevards, fountains, stately squares, and irresistible sidewalk cafes. Take in the Art Nouveau pedestrian mall, Art Deco Centenary Stadium, and American Embassy designed by I.M. Pei. Most of the nation’s countryside is farm or ranchland, and the life of the cowboy, or gaucho, is part of the local lore.

Day 9-10: Days at sea
Relax and reflect on your journey thus far with a few days of fun at sea. Get a behind-the-scenes look at life onboard with an Insider’s View Tour, attend a destination lecture to learn more about your next port-of-call, or try your luck at the onboard casino.

Want to really unwind? Watch the world go by and sip a complimentary drink poolside, or say “ahh” with a visit to Sanctum Spa.

Day 11: São Paulo, Brazil
Whatever your heart desires, you’ll have no trouble finding it in São Paulo — Brazil’s largest and most diverse city. From incredible museums to delicious food, cultural landmarks, and relaxing green space, Azamara can help you discover the local flavour of São Paulo.

São Paulo

Day 12: Ilhabela, Brazil
This “beautiful island” lives up to its name, and today belies its once lurid reputation as a hideout of smugglers and pirates. State park trails provide access to a luscious jungle, with numerous waterfalls where you can stop for a swim along the way. And when you work up an appetite there is nothing better than shrimp right off the boat, accompanied by Brazil’s national cocktail, the Caipirinha.

Day 13: Paraty, Brazil
Paraty's Portuguese colonial architecture remains undisturbed, and nothing spoils the mood, not even traffic, as no cars are allowed in the old town centre. Follow the gold trail into the hinterlands in a 4WD, or tour a sugar estate and Cachaça distillery, where they brew up the strong sugar cane liquor that is the key ingredient in the national cocktail, the Caipirinha.

St. Barts

Day 14: Buzios, Brazil
Originally settled by European pirates and slave traders, this picturesque fishing village is now decidedly chic. Surrounded by hills draped in luxuriant vegetation, this paradise found is a high-end resort with an international flair. More than twenty beaches beckon sun-worshippers and water sport enthusiasts, and the sophisticated boutiques of Rua das Pedras will delight shoppers.

Day 15: Rio De Janeiro, Brazil
Samba on down to Rio, easy going except for the four days of frenetic, feather-festooned Carnaval. No journey to Rio would be complete without a visit to one of the New Seven Wonders of the World — Christ the Redeemer. At the top of Corcovado Mountain, this 125-foot-tall statue of Jesus Christ spreads its arms over Rio and offers breathtaking panoramic views of Guanabara Bay.

Rio De Janeiro

Day 16: Fly Rio De Janeiro » UK
Disembark Azamara Pursuit and a transfer will take you to the airport for your flight home.

Day 17: Arrive in the UK
