Day 1: Fly UK » Miami
Fly from the UK to Miami. Upon arrival transfer to your 4* hotel for a 3-night stay.
Day 2-3: Miami, Florida
Miami, a city of wildly diverse districts, jigsawed into a vast urban corridor from two technically separate cities: mainland Miami and the huge sand bar known as Miami Beach. If you're sticking to the most popular areas in Miami Beach and downtown, though, you can zip around easily by bus and on foot. During an MSC cruise in the Caribbean most people spend their time in South Beach, a fairly small area at the southern end of the sand bar, where you'll find many of Florida's leading art galleries, trendsetting restaurants, and much of its boisterous club scene.
Day 4: Embark MSC Seaside in Miami
Transfer from the hotel to Miami cruise port to embark your ship for a 7-night eastern Caribbean cruise.
Day 5: Day at Sea
MSC Seaside offers endless fun for the whole family, with a full-sized bowling alleys, a dedicated family restaurant, and the most interactive, multi storey water park at sea featuring 5 different water slides, an AquaPlayTM area designed for tots and an adventure trail. In addition, MSC Seaside boasts colourful kids' play areas created in partnership with LEGO® and Chicco®.
Day 6: San Juan, Puerto Rico
San Juan is one of the world's top cruise ship destinations, with most of the pleasure boats docking at the port by the old town. As recently as 1970s, Old San Juan (Viejo San Juan) was a reminder of better times, a run-down collection of Spanish colonial relics, in little better shape than the collapsed empire that constructed them.
Begin your wanderings in the old town along the Paseo de la Princesa, a busy cobblestoned promenade, and head west along the southern city wall. The prim, grey and white Neoclassical building you'll see known as La Princesa. Built as a prison in 1837, it now houses the main PRTC offices aswell as a gallery showcasing work of contemporary Puerto Rican artists.
Day 7: Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
While you enjoy your holiday in the Antilles, you should take a pleasant stroll through the city and discover its gems. From Government Hill, head to Lille Tarne Gade, which means the street of the little tower in Danish: with its 99 steps, it is probably the most important stepped street of those built by the Danish from bricks used by European ships as ballast.
At the top of the climb (actually, there are 103 steps!), you will find to have only reached the base of Blackbeard's Castle, today a restaurant and an inn. Among the pirates to have lived here, it seems there was a terrible Edward Teach, a.k.a. Blackbeard, who inspected the bays of the island from the castle's observation tower, which is over 300 years old. The view that opens from this spot explains the choice of the location.
Day 8: Day at Sea
On MSC Seaside, you can enjoy the spectacular ocean views while you eat. And with 10 delightful eateries to choose from, including five sophisticated speciality restaurants, dining on MSC Seaside is as varied as it is delicious. Families are superbly catered for. For the perfect pre-dinner aperitif, late night drink or daytime refreshment, there is a choice of 19 smart bars and lounges, each with its own unique atmosphere.
Day 9: Nassau, Bahamas
During an MSC cruise through the Caribbean Sea, you will visit Nassau, which occupies the eastern portion of the island of New Providence and is linked by a charming bridge with the neighbouring Paradise Island, where Atlantis Waterscape is located.
The largest open-air aquarium in the world, it has over 100 different species of colourful tropical fish. In Nassau, you can interact with dolphins and go on excursions to neighbouring islands in motorboats. The historical centre of Nassau boasts charming colonial-style buildings and numerous pastel-coloured wooden shops that alternate with Georgian-style structures.
Day 10: Ocean Cay MSC Marine
A cruise to the Caribbean on an MSC cruise ship will take you to the most beautiful beaches in the world.
Ocean Cay is part of the Bimini chain of islands in the western Bahamas, 20 miles south of Bimini and just 65 miles east of Miami. You will discover six splendid beaches, a vast calm lagoon, the harmonious lines of the typical houses of a Bahamian village and much more. The crown jewel of Ocean Cay are the aquatic sports activities, suitable for adults and children.
MSC Cruises excursions include an underwater exploration of the MSC Marine reserve with its astounding tropical underwater life. During your Caribbean cruise, you will also be able to snorkel and swim in the waters of Ocean Cay.
