New York

Day 5: Fly New York » San Francisco
Check out of your 4* hotel and make your way to the airport where you will fly to San Francisco. Upon arrival in San Francisco, make your way to your 4* hotel for a 3-night stay.

Day 6-7: San Francisco
Cable cars, the Golden Gate rising from the fog - welcome to San Francisco, arguably the most romantic and cosmopolitan city in the United States. San Francisco has it all: a colourful history, superb restaurants, sophisticated museums, world-class shopping, and that elusive air of romance and abandon that's part of the tang of the city.

With the Alcatraz Combo Tour included, you'll be visiting one of San Francisco's most famous attractions. Alcatraz tickets usually sell out 1-2 weeks in advance so it is recommended to make your reservations early. Alcatraz Island tickets include the ferry service from centrally located Pier 33 in the heart of San Francisco and the award winning audio walking tour of Alcatraz Island. The cell-block tour features recorded interviews with inmates and guards’ actually living on Alcatraz Island before the prison was closed in 1968.
Plus, you can hop-on or hop-off at any stop you like as often as you like, on Big Bus, for the day so you'll not only see the city's famous sights but learn about San Francisco's mixed culture and diverse history from its Spanish settlers and the Gold Rush to the dot com booms of today.

San Francisco

Day 8: Embark in San Francisco
Check out of your 4* hotel and make your way to the cruise terminal and embark Grand Princess for your 7-night Californian Coast cruise.

Day 9: Day at Sea
From the moment you step aboard, Princess Cruises want you to feel welcomed and right at home. And with attentive service from a friendly member of staff that knows what hospitality means, you’ll find your Princess® ship truly is your home away from home.

Just like a restaurant at home, Anytime Dining enables guests the freedom to dine when and with whom they wish, at any time between 5:30 PM and 10 PM. Reservations are available through an onboard dining hotline, but not required, and diners may choose to eat only with their own group, or be seated with other guests. The choice is yours.

Day 10: Santa Barbara, California
"Welcome to Paradise," is a fitting expression for those visiting the coastal city of Santa Barbara. Called the American Riviera, Santa Barbara is a place where food, art, history, fashion, wine and sunshine mix to create a delightful and unique experience for the visitor. Charming Spanish and Moorish style buildings graced by brilliantly-coloured bougainvillea, palm-lined beaches, a warm Mediterranean climate, charming sidewalk cafés and a pristine seaside setting are some of the aesthetic reasons for visiting Santa Barbara.

Day 11: Los Angeles, California
The City of Angels always hovers between dream and reality. Once a near-forgotten colonial outpost, the pueblo metamorphosed into an agrarian paradise before reinventing itself as a movie colony. Perhaps no other city owes so much to the technological innovations of the 20th century, from the automobile to the airplane. Little wonder that LA is often described as the "dream machine." In LA, reinvention is a way of life. Yet this talent for change has created a city with a rich ethnic diversity and a sizzling culture. LA is the source for trends that migrate across the country and then the world. Where else can you enjoy a Thai taco or munch on a kosher burrito? Or travel from downtown's high rises to the beaches of Malibu, shopping in Beverly Hills along the way?

Los Angeles

Day 12: San Diego, California
Known as a place of infinite beauty, affectionate locals and endless sunshine, San Diego has become one of America's favorite cities. Located in the southwest corner of California, close to the border of Mexico, San Diego has a distinct cross-cultural feel, part sun-drenched Mediterranean atmosphere, part south-of-the-border zest and part quintessential California beach town.

San Diego

Day 13: Ensenada, Mexico
Ensenada is located 70 miles south of the international border and only a 90-minute drive from San Diego. Visitors are drawn to Ensenada's warm Mediterranean climate, friendly atmosphere and easy access by land, air, and sea. Ensenada has become Mexico's second most visited port of call for major cruise lines and pleasure boats.

Day 14: Day at Sea
Passionate about their culinary craft, Princess Cruises have committed to serving you mouthwatering, handcrafted dishes made from scratch throughout your voyage. Be sure to join them at one of their award-winning specialty restaurants to celebrate your next birthday, anniversary or milestone and enjoy tantalising specialties.

Day 15: Disembark in San Francisco
Disembark Grand Princess and make your way to the airport for your overnight flight back to the UK.
