Day 1: Fly UK » Hong Kong
Fly from the UK to Hong Kong.
Day 2: Arrive in Hong Kong
On arrival make transfer to your 4* hotel for a 3-night stay.
Day 3-4: Hong Kong
Take in the views of Hong Kong’s breath-taking skylines from The Peak or head to the atmospheric Ladies’ Market and practice your haggling skills. See the amazing floating fishing village of Aberdeen or explore Central and Sheung Wan for outstanding dining. Enjoy an uninterrupted view of Hong Kong’s stunning Symphony of Lights show, from Victoria Harbour, on a 1.5-hour cruise onboard a Chinese style boat that we have included.
Day 5: Embark Ovation of the Seas
Check out of your 4* Hong Kong hotel and transfer to the ship for embarkation.
Day 6-7: Days at Sea
Enjoy two days on board Ovation of the Seas. For breakfast, lunch and dinner onboard you have the choice of many delicious restaurants to suit every palate, including old favourites and kid friendly options. The range of tempting new restaurants includes two celebrity chefs; Jamie Oliver and Michael Schwartz.
Day 8: Fukuoka, Japan
Enjoy mouth-watering delicacies in Kochi's exotic markets, relax in a sensuous hot spa or explore Fukuoka's fascinating temples, shrines and museums. In Nagasaki, you can even cross swords with the Samurai.
Day 9: Nagasaki, Japan
Discover remnants of old Nagasaki beside the modern city. Visit the Peace Park and Atomic Bomb Museum. Or travel to Arita, home of magnificent Japanese ceramics, and tour famous Kakiemon Kiln, which continues a 400-year-old tradition.
Day 10: Kumamoto, Japan
Marvel at the imposing walls and luxurious interiors of Kumamoto Castle, one of the most impressive in Japan. Sample traditional shochu liquor at the Kumamoto Prefectural Traditional Crafts Centre, where you can buy beautiful handicrafts. At blossom time the splendour of the Suizenji Jojuen Garden will take your breath away while at the Aso-kuju National Park you can see the huge crater of active Mt Aso.
Day 11: Shimonoseki, Japan
Explore Karato Ichiba Fish Market, and if you dare try fugu, the potentially deadly puffer fish that Shimonoseki is famous for. See live specimens in the Kaikyo-kan Aquarium, plus dolphins, sea lions and penguins. Enjoy spectacular views of the Kanmon Bridge from Hinoyama mountain or the Kaikyo Yume Tower, or visit pretty Chofu to see samurai houses and lovely gardens.
Day 12-13: Days at Sea
Elevate your heart rate with can’t-miss thrills like the Ripcord® by iFLY® skydiving simulator, and FlowRider® surf simulator, or Catch 300-foot-high views from Guinness Book of World Records’ “Highest Viewing Deck on a Cruise Ship”— North Star®. Disembark Ovation of the Seas and transfer to the airport for your overnight flight to the UK.
