Day 1: Fly UK » Miami, Florida, USA
Arrive in Miami today, Florida’s sun-kissed city of glimmering high-rises and vibrant culture on scenic Biscayne Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. You will be met at the airport for a transfer to your ideally located hotel. Take the rest of the day to explore this magnificent city on your own. Uncover glittering, sun-soaked Miami, a stunning city of ivory-white high rises and intimate neighbourhoods huddled along blue-water embankments and sandy beaches.

Day 2: Miami, Florida, USA
Get acquainted with Miami’s rich diversity during a city tour. On Miami Beach, follow Ocean Drive into the heart of South Beach, passing Versace’s stunning mansion and the pastel-hued art deco treasures that put this enclave on the maps of architecture lovers. Continue to Little Havana, where Cuban Americans have shaped a vibrant culture. Absorb it all during a stop at Domino Park, where you can sip a Cuban coffee and listen to the rhythmic melodies straight from the island nation. After a drive through the tree-shaded lanes of Coconut Grove, browse the collections at the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens on picturesque Biscayne Bay. This 50-acre Mediterranean revival- and Italian Renaissance-style villa houses furnishings and antiques from 15th- through 19th-century Europe and has hosted dignitaries such as Queen Elizabeth and Pope John Paul II. This evening, Viking wishes you an enjoyable cruise with a Bon Voyage Wine & Cheese Reception.

Day 3: Embark Viking Sky in Miami, Florida, USA
After breakfast at the hotel, you will transfer to your ship. Settle in to your veranda stateroom and take time to explore your ship amid Miami’s coastal beauty.

Day 4: Key West, Florida, USA
Experience the carefree culture of Key West, the southernmost city in the continental US and a rich blend of Caribbean, Latin and American culture. Soak up its atmosphere with a stroll along Duval Street to Mallory Square, passing old Bahamian-style homes and Spanish-influenced Victorian mansions. See Ernest Hemingway’s home, where he wrote several novels, and former president Harry S. Truman’s Winter White House, preserved today as a historic monument.

Day 5: Cruise the Caribbean Sea
Cruise the azure waters of the Caribbean today. Columbus sailed among the West Indies on these waters before making landfall on South and Central America. And the ships of European nations raised their sails here in search of land for their Crowns and gold for their coffers. You will have ample time to bask in the legendary Caribbean sun at the Infinity Pool and enjoy your meals al fresco, perhaps sampling a local rum cocktail.

Day 6: Belize City, Belize
Call on Belize today, inhabited by Mayans for more than 5,000 years. Journey to the mysterious ancient site of Altun Ha, one of Central America’s most accessible temples. Enjoy a cruise along the tropical Belize River. Or embark a small boat along the Belize River, a tranquil and pristine ribbon of beauty lined with lush jungle, vividly hued birds taking wing and monkeys hollering from the treetops.

Day 7: Cozumel, Mexico
Discover the Mayan and colonial past of the island of Cozumel, located off Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula. Explore the colourful streets of San Miguel or visit Mayan and Toltec ruins at San Gervasio to gain insight into the island’s ancient beliefs and customs. View the scenic lighthouse at Punta Sur and the many pristine beaches for which the island is world renowned.

Day 8: Mérida (Progreso), Mexico
Call in Mérida, capital of the Mexican state of Yucatán. More than half of the city’s welcoming residents are of Mayan descent, infusing the culture with a rich and deep heritage. Drive from Progreso to Mérida and learn all about the Yucatán heritage and traditions on a panoramic tour. You will see the French-inspired Paseo de Montejo boulevard, the country’s national monument, the 19th-century Governor’s Palace and Mérida Cathedral, built in 1774. Or, choose to travel through the flat expanse of the Yucatán Peninsula to Chichén Itzá, one of the most important archaeological sites in the Americas. Marvel at the symmetry of the Kukulcan Temple, known to los conquistadores as El Castillo, and view the Temple of the Warriors, the observatory and the sacred cenote, a natural sinkhole central to Mayan religious life.

Day 9: Cruise the Gulf of Mexico
As you cruise the calm and tranquil Gulf of Mexico, often referred to as the “south coast” of the United States, the distinct light of the sun plays on the water like dazzling diamonds. The first European explorer to sail the gulf, Amerigo Vespucci, paved the way for the pivotal conquest of Mexico. During your day of cruising, you might visit The Spa, where a soothing massage, the Thermal Pool and the Snow Grotto complement your relaxing sail.

Day 10: Miami, Florida, USA
After breakfast on board, disembark your ship today, your transfer will take you to the airport for your flight to the UK.
