Jason Peters, cruise specialist, recently took a trip to the Southern Hemisphere and set sail on a wild adventure around South Africa and the Indian Ocean with Azamara.
As a “Discoverer Platinum ” member of Azamara’s loyalty scheme (Azamara Circle), Jason knew that these destinations, with Azamara’s brand ethos of more overnights and destination immersion, was set to be a marriage made in heaven.
Jason was taken aback by the incredible country of South Africa:
There’s natural beauty everywhere! From the back drop of Table Mountain in Cape Town, to port towns on the East Coast that provide gateways to exploring wild wilderness and game reserves. These voyages with Azamara offer it all!
Azamara’s escorted day trips explore the culture and wildlife of the “Big Five” in a safe environment with attention to detail, while ensuring respect for the local environment and local traditions.
And, after a day ashore exploring, Azamara Journey was waiting to offer its great service. The evening provides the opportunity to to reflect on the wonders of the day with fellow passengers in stylish bars and restaurants.
Onboard entertainment and enrichment are available in the form of local dance troops, and lectures. Plus there’s Azamara’s famous White Night Party, offering a one-of-a-kind alfresco dining event, against the mesmerising scenery of Cape Town. And, let’s not forget that wonderful inclusion – unique to Azamara – the AzAmazing evening, which for us was an evening of local music with a world class orchestra. Just one more experience making for a truly memorable voyage.
