Just a short note to let you know that I have recently been in contact with Cherie Howells regarding booking cruises. Firstly a couple of weeks ago enquiring on types of cabins on two particular cruises, where she gave me all of the options available along with the prices. I am pleased to say that on ringing her back to get confirmation of cruises, slightly changing the criteria, she gave me the confidence that she is able with her knowledge of the industry and ships information that we would get the accommodation we require. She advised me that emails would be sent and they were shortly received. As this is the first time we have used your company its is nice to know how you operate and hence we booked two cruises and would not hesitate to contact Cherie in the future - please thank her for us.

We have made another cruise booking with yourself to Dubai next year. As you know I normally deal with Cherie but she was not in the day I enquired about this particular cruise and stay so Lyndsay did all the quotes etc for me. She did a great job of changing airlines and hotel to what was advertised to get what we wanted. Lyndsay was not in the office on Saturday afternoon when I phoned to confirm as a definite booking so I think it was Darren who sorted it all out Saturday afternoon for me what a lovely chap he is. He did a great job. He will be sorting out a detailed itinerary and confirmation which I hope to receive today by email. We did have a quote from another agent slightly cheaper only £10 per person less but we wanted to stick with The Cruise Village as we knew we would be looked after. This is just a courtesy email to let you know how pleased we are with the way our booking has been done.

We arrived back in the (rainy!) UK on Sunday after a really great holiday. All the arrangements and recommendations made by Darren and the team were spot-on and made for a stress-free cruise. The paperwork, vouchers, etc. saw us through each phase and the taxi transfers and hotels - all brilliant. Ffinally, just a big thank you to all at The Cruise Village for advice and arrangements - we are already planning our next trip

After approximately 9 months the cruise to the Baltics has finally arrived and, as well as feelings of extreme anticipation and excitement, there is also slight regret that our contact with Cherie Howells is coming to an end. I have never come across a tour operator more efficient or professional and with such enormous empathy for everyone's needs. My booking was slightly more complicated in that it involved a party of 6 people, 2 from Australia, 2 from Canada and 2 from the U.K. Coming to an agreement with everyone about cabins, excursions and the many other smaller points which go to make the perfect cruise is certainly not an easy task and Cherie handled all the problems, queries and small panics with such calm assurance that we all felt at ease and unruffled all the way through the process. Our cruise is with Seabourn Quest and we have small stop-over packages in Copenhagen and Stockholm. The organisation for us all wasn't in the least bit straightforward but Cherie has turned everything into an extremely enjoyable experience, with great fun along the way. We've all had total faith in Cherie to resolve all problems and she's been a joy and delight to plan with. Cherie was also very swift in contacting Seabourn themselves if something couldn't be immediately answered in the UK. I would also like to add that everyone at Cruise Village has been completely helpful and kind to speak to and I cannot recommend the company too highly. Thank you so much, Cherie. You have no idea how grateful all six of us are for your organisation and willingness to always go the extra mile. Every word of this we all genuinely feel to be true. Will be in contact with Cherie on our return to give an update on our experiences.

We want to bring to your attention the exemplary service which has been provided by Lisa. She has been brilliant every time we have booked with her, over a number of years. She is always friendly, professional and extremely helpful in providing information and options to help us make up our minds, even when we change things!! I've just booked a cruise through the Cruise Village. I was a little nervous when I rang to enquire, as I'm a single woman going on a cruise for the first time. The lady who took my call was Cherie Howells. I can tell you I couldn't have been happier that I had contact with someone who understood what I was looking for. Cherie gave me answers to my many questions, and made me feel valued. I was assured that everything during my cruise would be taken care of, and I could just relax and enjoy the experience. I could hardly wait to book it! I'm now looking forward to seeing the Northern Lights, something I've always wanted to see. I already feel my trip will be a success, thanks to Cherie.

I just wanted to let you know about the excellent customer service I received from Lindsay yesterday when booking my holiday. She was extremely knowledgeable about the holiday and really helpful in everything I was asking about. Nothing was too much trouble. It was obvious that she had been on one of the China Tours so was really able to give me a good insight and reassure me about some of the areas I was unsure about. In a world where customer service is not always great, but should be, I felt I wanted to give praise where it is due.

Thank you for the way you helped us book this Cruise. Being first time cruisers, you made everything easy for us, and guided us through it effortlessly . We had been looking round for months, but every time we went into a travel shop they really put us off booking one. They would tell us a price, then they would make it sound really complicated, and then another £700 had been added to the price. Or they would say, "They are not available until the end of April. You are a star!!! We will be telling all our friends about you. Thanks again.

Yesterday we booked a cruise through The Cruise Village with P&O for the British Isles on the new ship, Britannia, after taking the advice given to us by Cherie. She couldn't have been more helpful and went out of her way to investigate the availability of the right cabin so that we'd be on the port side of the ship throughout the cruise. She was friendly and nothing was too much trouble for her, I'd immediately contact her again when we wish to book another cruise.

You may remember that I said many good things regarding the booking process for our now completed Viking River Cruise on the Douro River and the positive comments regarding Cherie Howells. Based on that experience we have just made a new booking with Cherie for a 2016 Silversea cruise to the Baltic. Again, I can say that in Cherie you have an exceptionally hard working consultant. She was knowledgeable about the ship (Silver Whisper) and knew without prompting the type of cabin we were looking at. (Ships have cabins and not staterooms to my old fashioned way of thinking!). With regards to questions we raised with her regarding cabin location, shore excursions etc., for 2016 she needed a conversation with Silversea, and as promised, called us back within the time she specified to us. As someone who has worked in the Travel Industry since 1968 till retirement in 2007 in most parts of the industry (retail, management, business travel and for an airline consolidator as well as running a small hotel of our own) I can say with some confidence that you have a gem of a worker in Cherie.

I run my own business, and employ five people, and I/ we set a very high standard, thus I judge by what I would expect if Cherie were to be my employee. What I look for is; Professionalism, Technical Competence, Product Knowledge, Empathy with clients / good communication, Empathy with other staff / good team skills (not applicable in this instance), Enthusiasm, Desire to be accurate and Ability to think 'outside the box'.
In all of this criteria, (I cannot judge on the empathy with other staff), I would say Cherie would tick all of those boxes. She has a natural warmth, and I appreciated the fact that she did not push. She came back promptly when she said she would, and of course proof going forward would be that she continues to communicate affectively right up to the day of the flight. I think you have a very good employee there! Thank you

We have just made another booking with Cherie for the Caribbean Princess. Once again excellent service from Cherie and doing a wonderful job of getting us the best deal she can. She is always helpful especially as a lot of the time I have to correspond in the day via email as am at work but she comes back promptly with any queries I have. I would just like to give some feed-back on Darren Hilsdon's customer service skills. I rang The Travel Village to enquire about a particular cruise. I gave Darren the details of what we wanted... didn't want... (a cruise for 4 of us) around the Med.... what ship and where we wanted to fly from. Not only did Darren listen... he advised us what would be best for us. Cost efficient... he made phone calls... to which he always promptly replied. I can honestly say Darren was brilliant! Always very friendly and yet professional in the knowledge he gave... 10 out of 10 :-) Very happy customer who would have no worries at booking future holidays with him :-)

Darren advised us in booking this cruise and we found him both helpful and knowledgeable. It was a close contest between yourselves and another agent, but in the end, both the current and past booking experience with yourselves swung the balance in your favour. I just wanted to let you know how satisfied I am with the service offered by Cruise Village and in particular, Darren Hilsdon. I sought 5 quotes giving a clear specification to cruise specialists and Darren was the only one to return a totally comprehensive costed package which also happened to be the second cheapest. We decided to book with yourselves based on the confidence experienced from the efficient communication, backed up by the competitive quote. I told Darren I wanted to write to you and I'd appreciate it if you would thank him on my behalf. If the communication and efficiency continues until we sail in June, we will be happily be using Cruise Village again.

I feel I must just drop a line to you to let you know how impressed I was with your service last Sunday when I booked a cruise with your company. In the past I have used whichever company I have seen the cruise advertised with and then someone told me to have a look at your website which I did. I decided to give you a try and I spoke to a lady named Elaine. I found her to be knowledgeable and helpful without talking down to me. She spoke to me as though I was important and not just a reference number to be shut in the cabinet. I was so satisfied at the end of my call that I thanked her personally for being the best customer service person I had dealt with, and I meant it. I am a secretary and I deal with all walks of life on the phone. I appreciate that at the end of the day I am a reference number but please thank Elaine for making this reference number into an actual person planning a valued cruise.
