It’s safe to say that we’ve all experienced a year of change. And, when faced with challenges, we often find ourselves examining how we operate, and how we are seen.
Never one to miss an opportunity, we’re very pleased to tell you about our “change” – our new world at the Travel Village Group.
Our new world is your new world.
Cruising has always been (and will always be!) a passion for the Travel Village Group, and from that passion grew the Cruise Village. But, the last 12 months have shown us that many people believe that Cruising is all we can offer, unaware that our HQ in Blackpool is actually the Travel Village (which offers ALL types of travel, including cruise).
Our 62 year old family business is supported by real travel experts, with a wealth of experience on land, at sea and on the rivers. Therefore, from today our “Cruise” and “Travel” brands will start the process to become one.
There are no changes for you to worry about, our service will continue to be award-winning, and the array of travel options available to you from us will, in fact, grow. There will merely be subtle differences in our branding that clearly identify the products we are passionate about.
We will be the “Travel Village” across our websites – land-based holidays will use a green logo with our luggage tag, and cruise will remain blue with the anchor. (Ski will be coming soon!)
As you can probably imagine, we’ve seen a huge increase in enquiries and bookings for land-based holidays for 2021 and 2022. Partly driven by the temporary suspension of cruise holidays, and partly due to our clients having time to sit down and plan that once-in-a-lifetime holiday or a multi-generational family cottage UK break.
In fact, UK breaks accounted for 20% of our business in January 2021, something that many of our clients would never be aware of being able to offer!
We have seen a huge increase in bookings, from our cruise guests, to destinations such as the Seychelles, Mauritius, Iceland, the Far East & Dubai. But, so importantly, we have continued to see cruise bookings come in for 2022 and into 2023.
Our luxury cruising Platinum Collection brand will stay within our Travel Village cruise website and our website URL will remain as thecruisevillage.com.
You’ll see similar changes made to our social media pages, and hope you’ll continue to follow us on our and your journeys around the world.
We’ll also be giving our clients the opportunity to make the updates they receive more relevant to the brands they are interested in, and provide bespoke information on destinations.
