Day 1: Passau
Welcome to Germany. You will be transferred from Munich airport to Passau, where you will be welcomed on board your state-of-the-art Scenic Space-Ship. Your cruise begins here, and you’ll get to toast the occasion at this evening’s welcome reception.
Please book your flight to arrive into Munich prior to 02:00 PM.

Day 2: Passau
Set at the confluence of the Danube, Inn and Ilz Rivers, Passau has been an important trading city since medieval times.
Free Choice: Join your local guide and discover this beautiful Baroque city during a walking tour. Explore the charming streets and admire the brightly coloured buildings that line the waterways. Your tour culminates at the incredible St. Stephens Cathedral, home to the world’s largest Catholic Church Organ. Alternatively, travel further afield on a guided e-bike ride along the Inn River, during which you will cross the border from Germany to Austria.
This afternoon, sit back and relax as you enjoy the spectacular scenery while cruising from Passau across the Austrian border towards the city of Linz.

Day 3: Linz
Wake in the baroque city of Linz. We will dock in the heart of the city, the perfect location for independent exploration.
Free Choice: Start your exploration on foot and discover the balance between the city’s vibrant history and the contemporary living with your local guide. Venture out of the city and visit Mauthausen’s former concentration camp that once housed over 190,000 people between 1938 and 1945 during the reign of the National Socialist party; during this sombre tour, you’ll learn about the conditions and treatment that the prisoners lived under. Alternatively, get your heart racing with a hike to Pöstlingberg. Walk through the beautiful, forested paths before arriving at the top, where you will be rewarded with incredible views across the city and Danube River.

Day 4: Melk to Dürnstein
Free Choice: Be guided through Melk’s magnificent 18th century Benedictine Abbey or embark on a guided bike ride along the river from Dürnstein to Melk. Alternatively, meet the current owners of Artstetten Castle, once home to the Archduke Franz Ferdinand, whose assassination sparked the beginning of WWI.

Day 5: Vienna
Free Choice: This morning, explore the imperial city of Vienna during a guided tour that includes iconic buildings such as the State Opera House and St. Stephens Cathedral, or tour Schönbrunn Palace and witness the sheer opulence of the Habsburg Empire. Alternatively, explore a different side of Vienna on a guided cycling tour to Danube Island.
Enrich: Breathe in the opulence and luxury of Palais Liechtenstein while enjoying a glass of fine Austrian Sekt. Then be enthralled by an enchanting private classical concert featuring the timeless music of Strauss and Mozart.

Day 6: Bratislava
Enjoy the amenities of your luxurious Scenic Space-Ship as you cruise towards the Slovakian capital, Bratislava. Relax on the Sun Deck with a drink in hand and enjoy the scenery as you cruise past charming riverside villages or take the opportunity to visit the wellness centre.
Free Choice: Explore Bratislava with a knowledgeable local guide and discover all that this majestic city has to offer. Join an Ancestry of the Kitchen cooking class and learn to cook (and of course taste) local recipes.

Day 7: Budapest
Free Choice: Join a guided tour through one of Europe’s most beautiful cities. Cross the iconic Chain Bridge, spanning the Danube linking Buda and Pest and protected by two lions at each end. Continue down Andrassy Avenue to visit Hero’s Square, the monument built to mark the thousandth anniversary of Hungary. Take in the views from the Fisherman’s Bastion to see the city laid out below you from the viewing platform. Or, if you’re feeling active, take a hiking tour up Buda Hill, a UNESCO World Heritage site. During your hike, see the Matthias Church and the seven spires of the Fisherman’s Bastion. Alternatively, experience the labyrinths of the Hospital in the Rock. Set underneath the city’s Castle District – the complex was built as a secret hospital used during World War II and was later converted to a nuclear bunker. Alternatively, discover the city’s Jewish history with an expert local guide.
