What Is The Longest Cruise In 2024?

Viking revealed its itineraries for the 2024 to 2025 World Cruise, offering guests an opportunity to embark on an unforgettable journey around the globe. Among the remarkable options available, the Viking World Voyage I stands out as the longest cruise.

Departing from Fort Lauderdale, Florida on December 19, 2024, this extraordinary voyage spans 180 days and encompasses visits to 85 ports of call across 37 countries, spread over five continents.

Viking has curated immersive cultural programs for its world cruises, designed to enhance guests’ understanding and appreciation of each destination. These programs include onboard lectures, locally focused entertainment, and a special offering called the Viking Resident Historian program. This program delivers a comprehensive historical and cultural education tailored to the specific journey.

Alternative World Voyages

For travellers who are unable to embark on the full 180-day trip, Viking offers a shorter version of the world cruise on the Viking Sky. Known as the Viking World Voyage II, this 163-day voyage sets sail from Los Angeles on January 5, 2025, and visits 29 countries before returning to New York. Guests boarding the 930-person Viking Sky in New York will journey through Mexico, transit the Panama Canal, and explore South America. Upon reaching Los Angeles, the ship will cross the Pacific, making stops at the Hawaiian Islands and French Polynesia. It will then continue to New Zealand, Australia, Asia, the Middle East, the Mediterranean, and Northern Europe before returning to New York.

Alternatively, guests can choose the 121-day voyage Viking World Journeys aboard the brand-new Viking Neptune. Departing from Los Angeles on January 9, 2023, this journey encompasses 23 countries and concludes in London four months later.

Both the Viking Neptune and Viking Sky offer a range of comfortable accommodations. From the 270-square-foot Veranda Staterooms showcasing Scandinavian design to the spacious 14 Explorer Suites, which range from 757 to 1,163 square feet, guests have ample choices to suit their preferences and enjoy their around-the-world journey.
