Los Angeles is arguably the most famous destination along the California coast. This ultimate cosmopolitan city is home to movie stars, stylish restaurants and wonderful wilderness. Experience the glamour of LA firsthand as you saunter down the Walk of Fame or go shopping on Rodeo Drive. For a break from city life, hike Runyon Canyon to see the Hollywood sign or visit Griffith Observatory on a clear, starry night. Drive down Route 66 to Santa Monica Pier and Venice Beach.

Set sail from the sunshine state of Florida. For a family fun filled trip, visit Disney World, Universal Studios or the Kennedy Space Center. Visit the Pink Palace in St Petersburg or the iconic Don CeSar hotel, a firm favourite of the late Marilyn Monroe. Explore the sun-soaked destination of Miami, the cruise capital of the world. This city has an epic reputation for good reason. Basque on the ever-famous South Beach crowded with Art Deco buildings, discover the colourful street of Ocean Drive, learn about the events that took place at the Versace Mansion and delve into the city’s famous nightlife. A 30 minute drive from Miami is Fort Lauderdale. Here you can visit Las Olas Boulevard or the Everglades National Park. 

Nicknamed the ‘Big Easy’, New Orleans is the perfect place for round-the-clock nightlife on Bourbon Street and a vibrant jazz scene. Listening to a live performance is essential in this city. To experience New Orleans in all its glory, visit in February. This is when the Mardi Gras festival takes place. You can expect to see vibrant costumes, exciting parades and night-long street parties. To dig deeper into the heritage of New Orleans, stroll through the French Quarter, the oldest and most popular neighbourhood, or the Garden District to see architectural wonders. Tarot readers and street performers gather in Jackson Square and local art is hung on iron railings waiting to be discovered. 

Home to many nature experiences, historical sites and birthplace of the Blues, Mississippi is one to tick off the bucket list. For a wildlife adventure, visit the Petrified Forest, a 36 million year old landscape with enchanting walking trails to keep you busy all day.  Mississippi isn’t all about the Blues, Tupelo is the preserved, native home of the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Elvis Presley. Alternatively, do a cruise down the Mississippi River to divulge into stories of the American Civil War, slavery and music.

Best Time To Visit the USA

A luxury cruise around the USA would be possible all year round. Between June and September offers the best weather on the East Coast, however if you enjoy festivities, the winter months will ensure you see New Year’s Eve in Times Square or Mardi Gras in New Orleans. On the West Coast, it is best to visit in spring or autumn. The weather will still be warm but milder and more comfortable than the peak of summer.
